Part 1: Individual Task (1,000 words) (20%)
Write a paragraph of 150 – 200 words in response to two topics listed below. State your opinion and support it with facts, examples or your experiences.
Topic 1: Competition and Sports
Topic 2: Communication
You will be required to hand in your responses to the reading topics for your tutor’s feedback and revise your writings subsequently for the final assessment of the portfolio. The complete file will consist of approximately 800 - 1,000 words including revised works.
A good assignment will: clearly state your opinion which is relevant to the topic. provide adequate and reasonable support for your position on the topic discussed including facts and/or examples from your personal experience or observation and other sources. indicate deep understanding of the topic based on the information from the chapter content and your own research. be well written with correct grammatical structures and organisation. demonstrate the ability to learn from errors and make improvements through the process. be handed in on time and cover all the topics listed.
