Beyoncé Reveals Pregnancy in VMA performance
The MTV Video Music Awards returned to the screens this year on Sunday 28th August. The Beautiful Beyoncé stole the show with her unexpected pregnancy revelation.
Beyoncé introduced her energetic performance of her “Love on Top” saying "Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet, I want you to feel the love that 's growing inside of me," hinting to the world the news. She then dropped her microphone and opened her tuxedo to reveal her growing belly after. The revelation led the audience into a triumphant reaction.
Since power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z tied the knot in 2008, many chat show hosts and presenters have questioned the power couple on when they would start a family. There have been years of pregnancy rumours. Nevertheless in June 2011, an interview with Piers Morgan lead to speculation about an expected pregnancy as when asked about when she would start a family she responded with;
“I feel like a woman. I feel like I 'm very aware of who I am. I feel great and I feel like 30 is the ideal age to start a family, because you 're mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards, and not be afraid, too polite -- but you 're young enough to be a young woman," she said. "I 'm so looking forward to it."
Beyoncé fans today are extremely happy with the news of her pregnancy as she has always spoke openly about wanting to start a family with Jay-Z which left her fans in anticipation on when she would finally announce the day she is pregnant.
One lifelong fan, Clair Merchant from London says; “When Beyoncé revealed her belly on the VMA’s. I was so excited I jumped of the sofa. I am so happy for her she is someone I look up to”.
Another fan, Anthonia Offiah from Hertfordshire says “Beyoncé is now 30 and has been saying she wanted a family from young, I’m glad she finally got what she wanted she deserves it because she works so hard”.
