My student that I observed was three to four years old. She was practicing on matching certain colors. She practiced blue, red, and green. She got all of them correct and answered them very quickly. Another thing she worked on was matching animals to card that showed the animal. She had a little trouble recognizing what an alligator was on the card but she figured it out at the end of the lesson. Next she got to do some movements. She practiced clapping her hands together, patting her legs, and jumping. She seems to really enjoy doing these things. Then finally the last thing she worked on was the parts on her body. I got to see how it was done. One lady was teaching the girl how to “kiss” her food so she would put her fork by her mouth and then decide to try the corn. Every time she ate a piece of her corn she got a piece of jerky that she really liked. Why they did the therapy, at her age. Autistic children are very picky eaters and do not like to try new things. I also learned that they do not really know when they really like something and when they do not. The child I observed did not like it when different foods touched other food on her
