As a manager in the Health Care Industry you will face many challenges, first and foremost is patient safety, lack of money and staff is also a major daily problem dealing with increased health issues that comes with increased population. Staffing is a major problem within some hospitals in major cities; example the present staff is short staff causing some members to take on other responsibilities from other departments, lack of office staff to make or receive or submit orders, long lines at the lab getting there blood drawn, in the respiratory section no one to administer treatments. In general not enough staff to take care of all the daily requirements or with the lack of staff, it is just too much work for one shift

Another challenge that managers face is the baby boomer era. Those born in that era are becoming the elderly group now. In the society that we are in today it is starting to become a problem, with the jobless, the elderly are being pushed aside, the average family cannot afford to take care of the ageing family members which is creating overpopulation in some nursing homes. The government will step in and provide minimal assistance. Even with this assistance some life changing decisions will have to be made by the family members; example people with family members with dementia, these are typically people who cannot make decisions on their own but require family to do it for them. For some of the members in the nursing home have no family to make these types of decisions thus creating more problems for the management and the government.
These are just a few challenges that face the health care managers on a daily bases. The big challenge as well providing excellent service to the patients is there wellbeing. In today’s health care industry, health care managers have to be very versatile in all areas. From being up to date on
