Henry Ford was born in 1893 and was the first surviving son of William and Mary Ford. When he became the age of 16 he left his hometown Dearborn,Michigan to go to Detroit to go to school to be a machinist. When he became a machinist he loved to build things so he decided to build and make his own model of cars but the one thing that was different about his than everyone else's cars that he made his cars in an assembly line. He was also the inventor of not just the Ford motor production
he is also the creator of the assembly line.
As a young boy Henry got a watch from his dad which stared him in liking to take things apart and put back together. He would take the watch and would reassemble over and over again. His friends and neighbors were super impressed because as a young boy he taught himself how to rebuild a watch. So his friends and neighbors started having him fix their time materials such as clocks and watches.
So as he did that as a boy he also lived on a farm but he was always unsatisfied with farm work. So at the age of 16 he left his home and went to Detroit. In Detroit he became a machinist. He learned how to build and operate steam engines.
Henry returned to farming for a while so he could support his wife and son. After 3 years on his farm passed he got offered a job to be a engineer at for the Edison Illuminating Company. And In 1893, his natural talents earned him a promotion to chief engineer. Ford developed his plans for a horseless carriage, and in 1896, he constructed his first model, the Ford Quadricycle. Within the same year, he attended a meeting with Edison executives and found himself presenting his automobile plans to Thomas Edison. Thomas encouraged henry to build a second model a better model.
