Have you ever seen a person in trouble? How about another person that comes to their rescue? You might consider that person a hero, or a superman of sorts. What really defines a hero? To me a hero is a great deal of different qualities and behaviors. My hero is my mother because she guides me, she is always there when I need her, and she always drives me to do my best. Heroes are important in society because without them where would our world be?
To me a hero is a person who would do anything for the safety of others. This person would be pure hearted. This person doesn’t have to wear a cape or have special abilities. A hero does the right thing and guides others to do their best.
My personal hero is my mom. She will always be there for me. Once I had a project in elementary school about different parts of speech. Part of the assignment included presenting it to the class. I do not like speaking in front of people. Public speaking is out of my comfort zone. My mom knew this and guided me through the project. She reviewed the presentation with me step by step. I quickly grasped how simple presenting the project would be by breaking it up into little steps. If my mom didn’t take the time to explain this to me, I would have frozen in front of everyone. After I presented my project to the class, the teacher called me to her desk and said I received an 80% because I was lacking content. I thought that was great, I got a B. I couldn’t wait to tell my mom. She wasn’t as pleased as I was with the grade. Mom said that she knew I was capable to do better than that and I really need to apply myself. She was right and ever since then I try my hardest to get better grades.
Our world needs heroes. What if heroes didn’t take a stand? People would just be mean to each other. For example, think of a kid that
