In my view, I think scholars, athletes, the needy or affluent people can get addicted once introduced to a drug. Generally speaking, it is possible that the temptation of trying something unknown is what broadens the scale on the type of people that have a heroin addiction. In addition, having an addiction is complex and quitting takes more than just willpower; people have different reasons as to why they started in the first place. Some might object to the fact that abusers of heroin are dependent on the lack of moral and principles one has towards drugs, of course on the grounds that people think addicts could stop if they changed their behavior towards it. Yet I would argue that people of good intentions could be addicted if they have a burning need for it, for example, a scholarly student might want to take heroin in order to relieve their anxiety towards school, an athlete could use it because of an injury they’ve had and can’t get enough of painkillers resulting to using heroin, or a wealthy person would use heroin as an experiment due to the time they have to party. Overall I believe that addiction is probable cause that can be acquired by everyone – an important point given that heroin addiction is a sickness but a way for people to escape the harsh
