1. What options does Hi-Voltage have for developing a system to connect with Green Industries’ purchasing system?
Hi-Voltage has a option to develop a business to business transaction processing system to facilitate the electronic data interchange (EDI) that Green Industries recently installed. By developing a new order entry system Hi-Voltage will improve efficiency and strengthen its bond with Green Industries.

Would Hi-Voltage’s proposed new system be a transaction processing system? Why or why not?
A transaction processing (TP) system handles data from day-to-to business activities. Therefore Hi-Voltage’s proposed system is an transaction processing system because it handles data from Green Industries order submissions. Furthermore a transaction processing system is efficient because it process a group of commands.

4. Before Hi-Voltage makes a final decision, should the company consider an ERP system? Why or why not? Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are used in large companies to support managers but since Hi-Voltage is a medium-sized firm such a system would be unfeasible. The finances and time required for such a system would be more than Hi-Voltage could offer.

1. Find information about a career as a systems analyst.
System analysts develop and maintain information systems for a business. A systems analyst acts as a translator and closes the communication gap between programmers and managers. Communication skills are indispensable for system analysts who often have to interact with people outside of their organisation. System analysts make changes in their IT systems according to user
