Simulation models becomes a trend topic for describing the real system. Model is the simplification of the real world. (Pidd, 2003) states the model is representation of the part of reality which the people wish to understand, change, manage, and control it. Simulation is used to know the behavior of the real system. (Forrester, 1961) states the simulation consists of tracing through the flows of orders, goods, and information actually then observing the sequences of new decisions. Adams et al. (1999), process simulation can be used to support several key steps in the continuous improvement process. To be most effective, simulation models should be developed that apply continuous improvement concepts.…

Some jobs are physically demanding. Some jobs are mentally demanding. Some are emotionally demanding. Nursing is all three. Ask any person in another career about how much they learned after they finished their education and/or graduated and went to work. Many will tell you that they learn nothing new. As an RN, you learn something new every day you go to work because every day comes with a new set of patients, regardless of what specialty you work in. As I continue my path as a future baccalaureate nurse, I will build a stronger focus on nursing theory, communication, and leadership.…
As an educator, I would utilize the simulation learning strategies, specifically, the human patient simulator. By having a human patient simulator students can visualize and touch the mannequin without hesitation in a controlled environment. This writer thinks that this learning strategy will benefit visual learners. In addition, the human patient simulator will serve as a substitute for traditional clinical experience. Novice nurses can practice over and over until they are comfortable to apply what they learn in the learning environment to the clinical…
