In many jobs, an education in math beyond elementary school offers no practical value. People that acquire jobs that involve working with other people, training, nursing, music, art, writing, and numerous others, have no use for math. The hours spent in high school and in college studying for math tests become useless. Admittedly, students who desire a math-focused occupation would not appreciate the change. However, students that wish to learn higher math can pursue it themselves. Additionally, students who want to go into creative industries take electives and additional learning to pursue their desired subject. Just like artsy students that take Music and Art electives, math students can take math classes if they want. Though some people use math, it does not mean that schools should make math classes mandatory for all
