High pitch distortion perception, it’s something not many people know about yet experience every day. I made a couple pitch distortion tests I found in the internet, the topic was entertaining and the best thing about it is I did not know one thing about the topic when I chose it. Everything about this topic is new to me and to be honest, I was scared about this project because I did not know what it was about. It was fun learning about pitch perception because I experience it a lot in band class, we need to know when we are out of tune and tune our instruments until we have the perfect pitch. At first I did not know where to start so I decided to study some of the background information so I it could help me understand the topic further on. I searched about the ear components and how vibrations traveled to the brain; I did not know the ear had so many functions and steps before reaching the brain. After I had some background information I searched about psychoacoustics, the study of mind perception. It was a really complex topic for me and videos and threads from other people helped me fully understand the term and its purpose. After I finally what it was I decided to search about the actual high pitch distortion perception. Firstly, when I tried starting this topic I aimed in starting the power point in psychoacoustics but it was way too complex and it was clear I needed some knowledge before reading or searching about it. All these three topics relate and are necessary to understand how pitches can change your mind perception. Never had I known how important and interesting was learning about how the ear works, psychoacoustics, and how the brain gets distorted by sound. The high pitch distortion topic talked a lot about how pitches traveled through ear components and got to the nervous system sending vibrations back and forth eventually reaching the brain. I did not know what was this all about so I decided to go step by step. I
