What was interesting about this disaster is that zeppelins much like the Hindenburg had flown before, and this was never a problem. Zeppelin transportation was very popular, and this one disaster ruined it for eternity. A memorial was made in Lakehurst, New Jersey where the Hindenburg crumbled to the ground in a ball of fire and gore. However, there was one thing that really sticks out that comes from this tragic disaster. If anyone has ever said the saying “Oh the Humanity” to you, I bet they don’t know where that comes from.
