The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (also known as HG2G, HHGTTG or H2G2) is a comedy science fiction novel written by Douglas Adams. The book is a part of a “trilogy” of five books. It was first published in 1978 as a radio series on BBC. Later it got adapted to other formats for example stage shows, novels, comic books, TV series, a video game and a movie made in 2005. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy has become an international phenomenon in social media around the world. The novels have been translated into more than 30 languages. Douglas Adams is well known, and his novels have spread all around the world.

Vogos are very problematic and they are known for their pathetic poems. Arthur and Ford are then thrown to the space. They get rescued by a character named Zaphod Beeblebrox and his ship, the Heart of Gold. Zaphod is the president of the galaxy and he has two travelers with him in the ship. One is a woman called Trillian and the other one is a robot named as Marvin. Those five start a trip to the planet named Magrathea. At Magrathea they are taken to the center of the planet by a local old man called Slartibartfast. The group decide to go to the restaurant at the end of the universe. The Restaurant at the End of the Universe is in fact the name of the sequel of the book.
In the book, there are many phrases which have become popular inside fans and members of scientific community. My favorite phrases from the book The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy are the number 42, “Don’t panic”, “Mostly Harmless” and “So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish”. In the book, there were many references to sequel books. Sequel books are called the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, Life the Universe and Everything, So Long and Thanks for All the Fish and Mostly Harmless.
The book is basically about the end of the world and about surviving in the galaxy. I liked the book a lot although I don’t usually read any books. I Think this was one of the best if not the best book I’ve read. The book itself was short enough and it was nice to read. But, also sometimes it was really a challenge to get the picture about what is happening. There were a few odd words too.
My favorite character was absolutely Marvin, the robot. He was suffering from a depression, but he had brain big as a planet, at least according to his own
