be a power of control. Macbeth’s heartlessness is established when he commands for the McDuff family household to be assassinated, linking to Hitler’s callous events of organizing for Jews to be exterminated in several in-humane ways. Both men lose to their ambition and overzealous behavior; Macbeth feeds into the witches’ prophecy by saying, "if chance will have me King, why chance may crown me without my stir." Deciding to act upon the prophecy explained, forcing the future upon himself without knowingly determining his own fate and disastrous fall. This comparing to how Hitler fed off his own ambition of yearning to gain a higher status of government. Macbeth's blame and reason for his actions are founded on the witches prophesy; whereas Hitler blamed the Jews, hence the words Hitler said, "The personification of the devil as the symbol of all evil assumed the living shape of the Jew."
A decent leader does not bluntly discriminate against a race, calling them pure evil, nor does a leader justify himself by categorizing others as evil instead of acknowledging his own injustice deeds. Hitler condoned his own behavior through his book, Mein Kampf, when he says, "By defending myself against the Jews, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."
Hitler excusing his erratic behavior by explaining his actions are determined due to defending himself for the work of the Lord, hiding behind the Lord in order to validate his actions.
His ambition for such power fails him as a leader for the continuously completed actions that didn't benefit his country or any other country; Hitler’s actions were condemned by his own malicious thoughts but not by the rest of the world. Just like Macbeth, Hitler’s actions are only condemned within his own thoughts but not condemned by other leaders or citizens.
In conclusion, the desire and excessive hunger for power clouds the good in one and brings out the excessively ambitious tyrant. A leader has an obligation to possess positive traits in order to be successful as a leader and to gain the trust and honor of the citizens they're leading. A leader must contribute in a humane manner that speaks highly of their leadership potentials. A leader must not fall to their clouded thoughts, their avaricious longings or their exceedingly ambitious desires. Leaders collapse to their catastrophic faults because of power. As an English Catholic historian, politician; John Dalberg-Acton says, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely,”
