Hmibian Exchange Observation Report

For Day One: Describe one of the tools that as a scientist, you would use aboard the HMS Challenger. Include how the instrument is used, and describe what types of organisms or samples were recovered using the instrument.
Day 1: It is January 2, 1872. We just passed Cape Verde on this hot sunny day. Today I am going to begin looking more into this new type of algae I found this morning. I will use my microscope to see what unique characteristics this algae has to compare to other types. I believe this algae is nothing like anything anyone has ever discovered! I am so excited to see what I have found.
