How does a hog farm that has a high risk of either dying or even getting diseases sound? Well in my mind I think it is wrong to do to an animal. I have a little bit of understanding when it comes to this kind of stuff. There are ways to where you can slaughter an animal but to practically abuse it is the wrong way to take it. There are many things I have never thought or even heard about CAFO that you and I didn’t know. If you ever have the thought of moving to North Carolina just make sure you’re not by a hog farm. Well the scientific name for it is MRSA. You can get it from raw meat or even the touching of someone else’s skin. More that 90,000 people get it a year and 20,000 die from it. Most of the cases are MRSA causes more deaths than many dieses in the U. S. An antibiotic can treat it but the cure doesn’t work for everybody. So everyone has a risk of getting this problem. People who get this need to go see a doctor or got to the ER so you can get an antibiotic. Think about these hog sewers were all the pig waste and leftovers in one area for at least 3 months. Some of the pigs that get slaughtered get sick so the workers just put more medicines in them to keep them alive till they have to get slaughtered. The pig waste after that all builds up and it creates a pink foam layer over the top. There have been people who have fallen in one and not lived. There’s is a risk just walking by them and breathing in the chemicals so if you fall in it’s going to be a bad day for everyone at the farm.
