Holes By Louis Differences Between Book And Movie

The book I chose is called Holes by Louis Sachar. This is a story about Stanley Yelnats and his family. It seems that they are cursed thanks to his no good, rotten, pig stealing, great grandfather. In the story, Stanley Yelnats gets arrested for "Stealing shoes" from the homeless. He is sent away to a camp in Green Lake, Texas to teach him a lesson. He is required to dig holes to "build character." After watching the movie and reading the book I like the movie better than the book.

The first reason I like the movie better than the book is, the movie is funnier. I think its funnier because of the reactions between the characters and animals. One example is, when Mr. Sir see's a yellow spotted lizard and completely freaks out. When I saw that part in the movie it was a lot more detailed than in the book. In the book, the yellow spotted lizards were a lot more different in my mind. I thought they were just bearded dragons, but in the movie they looked like a mixture of breeds with lots of different colors and markings.
Some characters in my mind were a lot more nerdier than in the movie. When I saw them in the movie version, they were buff and muscular. The setting in the movie was like how I pictured it in my mind. Camp Green Lake was dry with a little green and some trees. I didn't think Roy lived in a apartment, I thought he lived in a house as it was described in the
