Hollywood Is Overrated
Many years ago it was considered an honor to be part of the “Hollywood Life.” Famous actors and actresses were respected for their work and were actually talented. These actors and actresses took their roles seriously. They were portrayed as role models, and tried to keep their positive reputations in public. Today, Hollywood is chaotic. Celebrities do not take pride in their work, and they do not seem to care how people judge them. These people think they are invincible because they have money; and therefore, they do whatever they want, when they want to do it. Money is tossed around left and right like yesterday’s leftovers. I do not have much respect for those celebrities that live that lifestyle, especially like Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise, and Britney Spears. Paris Hilton is the most overrated person in today‘s society. She has done nothing credible in the entertainment business. The only reason she is considered famous is because of the “movie” that was leaked to the Internet. “The Heiress” attempted to act in a real movie, but it was a disaster. “The Simple Life” was her starring role on television, but all she did was humiliate herself, and show how much of a non-actress she is. Some people claim she released an album, but I have yet to find it in any stores. In my opinion, Paris has done nothing to make herself famous. She cannot sing or act; and she is nothing but a rich girl with absolutely no talent. Tom Cruise is another overrated actor. “Top Gun” has been the only decent movie he has made in his career. I think he became more famous when he married Katie Holmes, and especially when they had their baby, Suri. He seems too involved in his Scientology religion to study any movie scripts. If he would stop forcing his religion and himself on others, I believe he has the potential to make a rather good-quality movie. Ms. Britney Spears is another overrated celebrity.
