The structure of the holocaust museum disappointed me. It was very small and looked lonely compared to the other vibrant museums. I wasn’t even aware that my friends and I were near the museum until we had approached the very last stop sign. When I gave my first glance, the museum sort of looked like an administrative building. To be honest, while examining and reading the stories and information, it led me into the state of boredom. Majority of the time I wasn’t intrigued to read all words off the panel. The museum would be better if it was to add more interactive exhibits and artistic gallery that will give us more an emotional understanding about the holocaust. That change will certainly spark more connection between the visitor and the holocaust event.
In conclusion, I did like the holocaust museum but I didn’t enjoy it. It wasn’t as interactive as I thought it would be. The holocaust isn’t anything new and has been repeatedly mention all thought my school years. There weren’t a lot of interesting fact I read off of the exhibits. The things that I did like were the stories about concentration camps and the interior structure of the museum. I would recommend it to any of my friends for the very same reason; it’s not interesting but it’s resourceful.
