The first question he was asked was if he had any children. He answered with yes. He is a boy who is ten years old whose dream was to go to a Carolina Panthers football game. The man was then asked what life choices he had made that lead him to become homeless. He began to explain that he worked for a factory that was closed down in a large city which he lived in. He was without a job which left his wife having to pay all of the bills with her low-income job. His wife worked for the contracted out cleaning company. The stress was too much for her and she left him and their child to defend on their own. He does not know where she went or who she is with. Within the next couple of months of her leaving them, the landlord kicked him and his son on to the street. They were forced to live in their car and started to jump from place to place. He was then asked what kind of student he was in high school and he stated that he was an average student who graduated and went straight to the workforce. The man was then asked if he felt like since he was a homeless man, it was harder for him to get a job in today's society. He then proceeded to answer with both a yes and no. he is able to get odd jobs here and there such as yard work and manual labor jobs. The pay is not constant, though. He finds it hard for people to trust him due to the way society thinks a homeless man acts. They think he would steal from them, which is something he would never do. He believes society is to close minded to accept him for the man he is. All they see is a homeless man. They do not see the hard worker within him.
