Honest Middle School
To be honest middle school is super stressful. Sometimes you lose your mind and not even notice. I cause myself to malfunction just to chase down my homework. On the other side of this twisted river, I have everything under control. I can explore clubs and groups. Making friends shouldn’t be to hard either. My teachers are amazing. My favorite teacher would have to be Ms.Kerley because she teaches my favorite subject, reading!

In my opinion leaving elementary school can put a lot of stress on someone. I was so nervous about what could happen to me here. I thought of ways to shrink myself so that i could go back to elementary. I was scared I would fail all my

That angered my parents and they decided that paige middle school was not good for me so they decided to transfer me to john glenn middle school. One main transition within a child's life is changing schools. This can make children feel insecure, nervous and anxious about the unknown. Whilst they may feel some sense of excitement about the new experiences they will be exposed too they will generally be apprehensive. They may be leaving behind good friends, loved teachers, a great support network and may feel a huge sense of loss. Their behaviour may change, they may become withdrawn and emotional. They may recede academically as they struggle to fit in…

Ninth grade so far has been fun but interesting. First, the classes are fun and exiting. Classes are full of fun and we even get some freedom of which classes we want to take. Next, in high school there is a lot of fun school activities. There are ball games, winter week, homecoming week, pep fests, parades, and many other fun things. Finally, the older kids are a lot nicer than I expected. I like the older kids mainly because they are really helpful and most of them are nice. LFCHS is a fun place for ninth graders to start a high school career.…

When I got to the age I could start school, I was excited. I started school like any other kids my age did. Kindergarten through first grade were fun for me. Second grade came and that is when things started happening that I did not like, and third grade I absolutely hated. I was being bullied and was ignored by teachers. I was viewed differently just because that school thought I should have been in special ed. They got their way for a little while, by having my parents sign some papers that would provide some extra help, but the contract never said I would be in special ed. My parents were absolutely furious when they found out I was in special ed when they did not give permission to the school to put me in there. So came the time to move. I started attending Udall Schools in fourth grade. I was welcomed by a class that was eager to know me and teachers willing to help. My teachers helped me learn the concepts I missed from the previous school.…

High school in real life is full of surprises, but according to David Denby in his article "High School Confidential," High School in the movies is very predictable. The typical Hollywood "High School Scene" opens with the jock and the cheerleader characters. Blonde and buff, the Jock and the Cheerleader are superficial and proud to proclaim it. They are popular and perky, and always too good to be true. The cheerleader is usually the enemy of the hero or heroine. She is generally rich, blonde, and queen bee of the social circle, with no sense of selflessness. The jock is usually the bully, muscular, good looking and not very smart.(Denby 343) In an essence, the male counterpart of the cheerleader. The Jock and the Cheerleader are almost always the doppleganger of the hero and heroine. The jock and cheerleader stand for everything the hero despises, yet seemingly have everything that the hero is aiming for.…

According to a study conducted by EducationNext, “moving to middle school leads to a substantial drop in student test scores in the first year of the transition, and the relative achievement of middle-school students continues to decline in the subsequent years they spend in such schools.” One aspect of the educational system that I think can be vastly improved is middle school. Although middle schoolers are faced with numerous challenges, the middle school curriculum does not allow students to explore their interests and more importantly, doesn't challenge students enough. In middle school, there is not a lot of advanced coursework that students can complete. This is why I believe that middle school students should have the opportunity to take a more strenuous curriculum by allowing them to take high school classes, as this system will give students the curriculum that they need to succeed and it will give them an abundance of time to explore their interests.…

Middle school was really weird time for me. It seemed like it was the most dramatic / drama filled. Our school at St. Peters was messed up, anything that could happen did. I've had teacher come up to me and ask for answers to what happened. Students doing bad things and etc. Also middle school to me was so fun, because people who I like got in trouble because of me. If you weren't my friend at St. Peters you better hope that you weren't mean to me, because if you were the teachers would find out what you did and they get in trouble.…

Transitioning from the middle school to the high school was definitely a hard task to do. I was constantly worried about getting lost, and not being able to find my way around. When I first arrived at the high school, I was very intimidated by the size of the high school and a number of hallways and classrooms in the building. It took me multiple days to actually get used to the building and where my classrooms are located. But, now it has been a few months since transitioning the to high school, I feel like I know the high school very well and where everything is located in the school.…

For example, middle schools are often much larger, and students may find themselves separated from their elementary school friends. They have to make new friends in a strange, unfamiliar setting. Also, instead of having one teacher, students have five to seven different teachers a day. That is a lot of new people to get used to.…

Dropping out of school was something I never imagined. At the age of 14, two years before graduation I had to drop out of school. Not because I chose to, not because I didn’t want to go and not because I was a lazy child and didn’t want to learn. I had to drop out of school for family issues. At the time my family was very unstable,…
