Hoot

How far would you go to save hundreds of endangered burrowing owls? The movie Hoot is about three kids, Roy (Logan Lerman), Mullet Fingers (Cody Linley), and Bea Leep (Brie Larson). The three are trying to stop work on a Mother Paula's Pancake House construction site to save the endangered owls that live there. While trying to save the owls they get into a lot of trouble. They get chased by the cops, lie to a doctor about who they are, and one even sneaks home from school and hides from his parents! Though it was a decent film, there was a few flaws. I thought the movie was a little too predictable. There wasn't much to it, and I knew exactly what was going to happen before it did; like when Dana (Eric Phillips) grabbed Roy and tried to
beat him up but Beatrice saved him. The plot was very simple, but in this case I don't think that was a bad thing. Its story was very easy to follow. I do wish that their lines weren't as corky. There were many times when they said something that made me want to cringe. Parts of the movie were unrealistic. Like when Mullet Fingers gets bitten by a dog and they take him to the hospital under Roy's name, the hospital didn't even ask for any proof that he was Roy Eberhart. So overall I would rate this movie a 4/10. I found some parts to be unrealistic, but other than that it was okay.
