Chapter Two - Chapter Three: Now that Charlie had arrived home safely, Charlie remembered the things he had once seen in the past, things of blood and war. However, Jenny Jackson, a mother of a young man who went to war alongside of Charlie, a man named Philip, didn’t return. about Helena, a girl who was written repeatedly in Philip’s letters. It was up to Charlie to explain, no matter how difficult. He then ran into Claire, who was a childhood friend of his before he sailed to England. During the time they ran into each other, they went on a walk with Charlie’s best friend Jim, only to meet Clint, the boy who sent him away to England.
Chapter Four - Chapter Five: Once Jim decided to leave Claire and Charlie alone, Claire asked what Charlie’s been through, and Charlie was reluctant to explain the horrors of which he has seen. He also began to wonder why he didn’t feel like he´s home for good.
Chapter Six - Chapter Seven: Charlie remembered and retold his many journeys during the war, and everything he had seen.
He remembered the blood and the dying people who laid within the trenches. He was trying to find his spyglass due to the fact that he had lost it. But during his search for the spyglass, he ran into a man named Tom, who then helped him throw the bodies away, otherwise known as a stretcher-bearer. But Charlie didn’t know a lot about Tom, and the question is who was Tom? Charlie then ran into Philip, the best friend of Clint, and soon, Charlie found himself helping Philip, to prepare him for an upcoming battle.
Chapter Eight - Chapter Nine: Charlie, in the middle of the battle, ran into Murphy, the fiancé of Emma, who was laying on the floor on the verge of defeat and death. Now, Murphy´s fate was undetermined. Would he give up and die? Or would he live to see the end of the war? Charlie met up with Tom who had his belongings, however, when Charlie caught sight of Doctor Robert Daniels, Charlie hid or else he would end up leaving. The battle was still raging on and Charlie is exhausted and sick, would Charlie manage to survive emotionally, mentally, and physically?

Eleven: Charlie still remembered and retold what happened to him in the past.
He remembered him helping a wounded soldier, with the assistance of Tom. The soldier was so wounded that blood was pouring out of him. Charlie began to go insane at the sight. Would he recover from all that he’s seen?
Charlie saw Murphy again, who was surprisingly alive. However, Murphy was deeply wounded and Charlie must wait until night to help him or else there would be a chance he would be shot and killed. Would Murphy make it in
time?
Chapter Twelve - Chapter Thirteen: Charlie was soon found sick, and Tom had ended up having to send him to Doctor Robert Daniels for treatment. Unfortunately, Charlie’s attempt to avoid Daniels was unsuccessful and soon, he would have to face the doctor, if he survived.
Chapter Fourteen - Chapter Fifteen: Charlie woke up and Robert Daniels thanked Charlie for giving his ticket to England, to his wife, Lily, who Charlie had fallen in love with. Daniels insisted that Charlie stayed with him for the time until he could find Charlie a safe way home. However, Philip and Helena, gave Charlie a visit, with some news to share.
Chapter Sixteen - Chapter Seventeen: Charlie managed to get better, and soon found himself working with Daniels until he could find a safe way home. However, the work there is hard and the Colonel was stricter than ever. Charlie continued to go on, however, the Colonel was less than pleased with him. Will Charlie find his way home? Or will he spend his time throughout the war with Robert Daniels and the Colonel?
Chapter Eighteen - Chapter Nineteen: Charlie continued to spend time with Doctor Daniels, by sorting through the mail and packing or unpacking things from their truck. However, they sent out various letters asking if Charlie could be sent to England. Unfortunately, there was no reply to their requests. Would he ever return home?
Chapter Twenty - Chapter Twenty-One: Now, Charlie managed to get a way home after working with Daniels for a long time. Charlie was reluctant to leave Daniels but accepted the way home. However, due to an unfortunate accident, his ride to the aerodrome was unavailable and he would have to walk on foot. Would Charlie survive the walk to the aerodrome?
Chapter Twenty-Two - Chapter Twenty-Three: Charlie managed to make it to the aerodrome and ran into his pilot, Weston, who takes Charlie to England. However, during their plane ride, they ran into a German airplane, and now, it is up to Weston to take them to safety or fight back.
Chapter Twenty-Four - Chapter Twenty-Five: The German airplane shot down the airplane that Charlie and Weston were riding in, and injured Weston’s ankle. They soon had to end up landing in a field and then escaped into the woods. However, they were on German territory and they must get to England. Would Charlie and Weston escape the Germans? Or would they be captured and killed on sight?
Chapter Twenty-Six - Chapter Twenty-Seven: Once Weston and Charlie escaped from the Germans, Weston insisted they headed to a pub which is filled with drunken German soldiers. However, Charlie suspected something surprising about Weston, and that would change everything.
Chapter Twenty-Eight - Chapter Twenty-Nine: Charlie, who was suspicious of Weston, followed Weston into an airfield where they then stole an airplane. However, the Germans take down the airplane, and once again, Weston and Charlie evacuated the plane. They both managed to survive, however, they land in no-mans land, and they must survive before someone kills them.
Chapter Thirty - Chapter Thirty-One: Charlie woke up and found Philip, who helped Charlie from getting killed in no-mans land. Charlie then found out some surprising news from Philip.
Chapter Thirty-Two - Chapter Thirty-Three: Charlie, who was now healed and feeling better was out on the field and was working as a field doctor. However, he was taken out of that job by the CO and once again became a stretcher bearer like Tom. Unfortunately, Charlie found out some bad news.
Chapter Thirty-Four - Chapter Thirty-Five: Charlie then set out to go home and traveled throughout the country in order to get back home to Newfoundland. Charlie bumped into a few old friends and then found himself getting drunk. However, once he woke up from his night of drinking, he found himself on a ship to England. Unfortunately, something happened to Charlie and once again, he found himself being assisted by Helena.
Chapter Thirty-Six - Chapter Thirty-Seven: Once Charlie was set off to England, people caught word that the war was over and everybody could go home. This was the last of Charlie’s memories and he then returned to the present, where the future was unpredictable.
Chapter Thirty-Eight - Chapter Thirty-Nine: Charlie, who’s now back home in Newfoundland, found out some wonderful news. He also discovered what he wanted to do in the future.
Epilogue:
Charlie managed to find happiness in life and ended up becoming a doctor. He also married a close friend of his and ends up keeping close contact with his friends Helena, Lily, and Weston.
