They wanted to choose someone else other than Charlie.. If they had really wanted to help Charlie, they would have chosen him no matter if he was cooperative or if he was not. But the scientist had to be persuaded by Ms. Kinnian to do the surgery on Charlie.
Although the doctors did act ethnically on some action they did, overall, they did not act ethnically. A few things they had done right was when they had considered choosing the test subject was they had considered if the test subject was unwilling to perform the surgery. Charlie was all over the surgery. Another thing they had done right was they had considered how Charlie's life could be improved. Both Dr.s both knew how much it would improve Charlie's life if they had done the surgery on him.
Overall, Charlie's doctor's had not done the ethnical thing. They had put science over a patient's social life, they had not considered the side effects of the surgery, and they had not informed Charlie of the risks he will be taking when he takes the
