She was a Terrier Mix. A Chihuahua named Daphne came in with an infected uterus because she had not been spayed yet. It was important that Dr. Tysinger operate on her right away because her infected uterus was life threatening. Before Daphne’s surgery, the veterinary technicians took a CBC on her. A CBC is a complete blood count which includes red cells, white cells, and platelets. A Bichon Frise named Pippin was started on a glucose curve because he is diabetic. One of the veterinary technicians, Robin, put Layla the Terrier Mix on anesthesia so she could clean her teeth. A Coonhound named Boomer was waiting to be neutered. I got to witness this procedure, which I was very excited about. As the procedure was being done by Dr. Tysinger, she was explaining everything she was doing and why. I found very helpful.
