ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This program was designed as a way to build a solid operator base of fitness. We pulled material from these sources: Mark Twight (gymjones.com), Rob Shauls (mtnathlete.com), and Greg Glassman (crossfit.com), and Dan John (Google him). We combined the idea behind the Gym Jones 3 month operator fitness program, a lot of Mountain Athlete workouts and some Crossfit WOD and turned them into a 4 month workout program that has numerous options each day so that you could use it for 2-3 rotations and not become bored with it. Our goals specifically in making this program are to be able to DL 2.5x, Front Squat 1.5x, Bench 1.5x, Military Press 1x our BW and still be the cardio shape to run 3 miles easily in under 20:00. Also, we will have a score of at least 200 on the SSST. Whatever your individual goals are just tweak this program towards them in order to achieve them within 4 months. With Gym Jones selling out and becoming commercialized we wanted to put a program into place while we could still pull workouts from the site without having to pay. Mountain Athlete is a great new reference for Team guys, especially Lead Climbers for sport/job/event specific workouts. This website is a great source for new workouts that

you can add continuously into this program. They started in February 2007 and are based in Jackson, Wyoming. Most of the Sport Specific workouts were created by us, the Horsemen, and if you don’t like them then fuck you, you’re a pussy. These are really the only original material in this entire document almost everything else was copied from existing programs run by professionals who know what they’re doing and cobbled together by us. The suggested playlist was created by us and we stand by it. You will be able to lift more for a longer period of time if you listen to what we’ve suggested and again, if you don’t like it, fuck you, you’re a pussy. We subscribe to the philosophy that Team guys need to be physically ready to handle

I am a very active person so therefore I went over the recommend minutes. I am active six days out the week. I usually take one day off to allow my body to rest and heal. I would think I’m used to the by now. I preform at least 3 hours the day. Based upon my findings in class I do meet the recommendation for cardio, strength and flexibility. In the beginning I was the weakest link but I constantly stuck at it. Now my leg and arm strength are is stronger than ever. I am a very flexible person. I can take my body in many positions and there is no after burn. At the end of each performance I do some breathing tricks to get stable and me going. Also I believe I should balance my body out. As if I was so do something with my right arm I have to do it with my left.…

Ever wanted to ride a 1200 pound animal at 40 mph dodging poles with only a piece of metal and a couple straps of leather to control it? I have been running poles for more than three years and all my lessons and clinics had something in common. There was constantly the same advice being given. The best part of running a pole pattern is that you can constantly improve. The pattern always stays the same, 6 poles set down the middle of the arena, all 21 feet apart, you must run all the way down, turn the last pole, weave back towards gate and then the opposite way, then you let your horse run back.…

I attended a TAMU Equestrian Team show on the morning of the fifteenth of September. I got the opportunity to see firsthand how a horseback competition is run and judged. I also got to observe a typical reining show and saw the different formations that were graded. I was amazed to see the horse spin around several times and still can gallop in a straight line afterwards. Most of the athletes received a score range between 690-720. I personally do not know what the score means, but I did notice that the athletes that performed more gracefully in their formation will receive a higher score than those that performed less gracefully. In addition, I also got to witness the strong bond between the girls on the equestrian team. They were cheering…

When me and my partner Luther decided we wanted to adopt a baby girl, the first thing that we needed was to consider the many option, expectations, and obstacles that we might face. After setting up an appointment and meeting with a lawyer specializing in adoption, many thing became clear. We would need to give serious consideration to the health of the fetus prior and post birth. We would also need to have a thorough understanding of the babies maternal mothers care so that we can have an idea of what challenges if any that the baby may face.…

So we started the program and firstly in our group we started doing upper body work which was fine, it did get tough in some of the exercises we did mainly because we tried to do much but luckily we didn’t get any injuries so we carried on with it and with that I noticed improvements in my upper body strength within that period of two weeks. Also I was working at that time so I would have gone in the gym more times but I could due to that but also because of where I work and the department I work in, you’re having to constantly take out cages and pallets, the cages can weigh up to 500kg and the pallets can weigh to 1000kg and above and that also helped as well with improving my body strength and fitness as well so that also helped. The strengths of this was that my upper body strength has improved and that I am able to do the same exercises quicker. And that I have got a better muscle definition now to my arms and shoulders now. The weaknesses of this was that I wasn’t able to come in any more due to engagements with work and also course work and rugby training. Also I was getting very fatigued with my upper body and I was getting the occasional strain which affected my performance at work and college. Improvements and changes to the fitness program:…

    Summer Workout Plan

    • 754 Words
    • 4 Pages

This upcoming summer I plan to achieve many desired goals, but one goal that I am specifically focused on is that of becoming stronger. I will be planning on getting a lot bigger due to this work out plan and without track season it will allow me to focus on eating more and gaining more muscle mass without running it off every day. Seeing, as I will not be participating in any league or district sports this summer this will be strictly for my own general health and in preparation for my upcoming senior year track season. With my workout plan, I will be anticipating gaining at least ten pounds in body mass as well as increasing my muscular endurance and capability. I am going to be working out in the morning or early afternoon, if it’s not the first thing I do for the day it’ll be in the early afternoon after a work day of caddying that can be taken as my cardio before my workout. For my workout I will be doing a little cardio before I lift every day I do go to lift, either I will go play basketball, run on a treadmill or the track, or swim in a pool all provided at the facility that I have a membership at. I will be working out at least four days a week at minimum, but with a maximum of five days a week, I want to give my body enough time to rest recover and gain in my muscular capabilities before I go back at it and tear up my muscles again. I will be alternating the days of lifting with not only how I lift but also what I lift; it will be a rotation of heavy medium and light lifting days. Along with the rotation of workout strictly targeting certain areas, for example I will have days targeting core lifts then another based on strictly back and legs, and then another for arms and chest. These all with be put into the rotation so that each will be placed on a light day medium day and a heavy day so that one workout isn’t always lifted heavy or always lifted light. From my house, this club is only ten minutes, which is a good thing because within this distance it…

My fitness plan was to focus on strength and cardio. I chose a powerlifting workout plan that focused on the three compound lifts, this helped with my strength. I also ran 3 – 4 times a week to try and improve my cardio. Before every workout I would do Static stretching and after every workout I would do dynamic stretching. I would exercise 6 days a week doing each compound lift 2 times a week. Progressive overload is something I would every other week. I was doing a split routine so my workouts were 45 minutes maximum. After my main lift I would do a bunch of accessories that would help me with the lift, using everything from resistance bands to free-weights.…

CrossFit describes its strength and conditioning program as “constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement,"[4] with the stated goal of improving fitness (and therefore general physical preparedness), which it defines as "work capacity across broad time and modal domains."[5] Workouts are typically short—20 minutes or less—and intense, demanding all-out physical exertion. They combine movements such as sprinting, rowing, jumping rope, climbing rope, flipping tires, weightlifting, carrying heavy objects, and many bodyweight exercises; equipment used includes barbells, dumbbells, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, and boxes for box jumps.[6][7][8] These elements are mixed in numerous combinations to form prescribed "Workouts of the Day" or "WODs". Hour-long classes at affiliated gyms, or "boxes," typically include a warm-up, a skill development segment, the high-intensity WOD, and a period of individual or group stretching. Performance on each WOD is often scored and/or ranked to encourage competition and to track individual progress. Some affiliates offer additional classes, such as Olympic weightlifting, which are not centered around a WOD.[9]…

I have a low lung capacity due to a dip in my chest wall, called Pectus excavatum. The dip was removed four years ago with surgery. Now my lung capacity is about fifty to sixty percent. By being a middle blocker I need to be quick and have a high vertical. The workout I have personalized for myself will increase my endurance by having short breaks and fast moments. I set the workouts up by having legs one day, and core and arms the next. By setting it up this way I will be able to have a proper resting period. The ladders will increase my speed and foot work. Jumping rope and the leg workouts will increase my vertical. I kept the same workouts the same but increase the amount a little each day. By having small increases to the workouts will help you build up strength without harming your body. When I use weights in my workout it is usually lite due to the game of volleyball. The reason I would work out on my own would help the player not to feel rushed or get sloppy. It is better to be proper when working out, so no harm is done to the body. Having the personalized workouts, it would help make time to focus more on the team and not individual needs. All the players get what they need in their own…
