How 9/11 Changed America Essay
The world did stop for a moment as Aisha Hinds said, “I'm a New Yorker. I was there during 9/11, and I saw how, not only New York City stopped for a moment, we all took an inhale and exhale at the same time - the world united at that time, and it changed my life. I think millions of people were forever changed.” She’s right it did change people’s lives forever along with destroying their livelihood, but it also changed things in different ways too. The effects of 9/11 did not only affect the United States of America (U.S.A) and New York but the whole world. In this discussion of 9/11 this paper will further peoples understanding of how these attacks did change the world.
One of the effects was the physical aspect. When the Twin Towers collapsed it caused thousands of tons of toxic debris containing carcinogens where released into the air. In the falling towers and outside of the towers. Survivors, reuse workers and firefighter where all exposed to that risk of getting ill with lung problems and heart problems, others still have shown little or no improvement in symptoms or other health problems. Must people now see the Muslims as the theorist “it’s all there fault… they caused 9/11”. Because of 9/11 it changed people’s mental view of the Muslims people say it’s their entire fault and because of that Muslims are getting the entire backlash still after fifteen years. But also some have never healed from the pain and just shut it all out. After 9/11 and ever since the air plane was high jack by the theorists the airports all over the world have changed. People were always more cautious mostly in the United States of America
