The topic of global warming is of much controversy, as many scientist argue whether or not it is a real phenomenon, or if it is human induced or naturally occurring in our environment. However we can clearly see that there are many changes in our climate as we are been affected by higher temperatures and other adverse weather conditions, which all point fingers to the theory of global warming.
The aim of this research paper, is to provide information to the uneducated masses, about the factors that contribute to global warming, identify the effects of global warming, and show how global warming has changed over the past 50 years and to illustrate how human activities have contributed to global warming, while providing recommendations to minimize its effects.
Introduction
Since its conception, global warming has been one of the most controversial topics debated among many scientist and politicians. For the past twenty (20) years, the controversy surrounding the issue is whether or not we as humans have in fact created the proposed phenomena, or if we have acted as catalyst and increased the occurrence of the process all together. A few individuals, like Habibullo Abdussamatov a climate researcher, however deny the fact completely that global warming is actually occurring in the environment. Many arguments are being constantly raise by global warming, such as: Does global warming exist? Are humans to be blamed for the phenomena? Or is it just a natural cycle that occurs in nature? With all the debates and questions, the uneducated masses would wonder, what is global warming? According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, global warming is defined as an increase in the earth 's atmospheric and oceanic temperatures widely predicted to occur due to an increase in the greenhouse effect resulting especially from pollution.
So is this phenomena real? Roach 2010 “evidence suggesting global warming is overrides any arguments
