The environment that we grow up in plays a huge role on understanding race. The society that we live in today judges on every difference or similarity there is between individuals. Stereotyping is a negative way that people base their opinion on about someone. It is difficult to not snap judgment when first meeting someone but that is an important thing that society needs to stop doing. There is a bigger picture to someone than basing judgment off of their appearance. To improve race relations in the U.S. society, I think people need to speak out about their personal stories. When people hear about other individuals struggles I think they can connect to that person on a deeper level. They feel empathetic towards them and it has a lasting impact. And when they are confronted with new race relations the story that was shared will always be in the back of their minds. Speaking out and sharing personal stories is a great way for people to learn about each other and also share
