How Can We Reduce Gun Violence?

Hilary Clinton says that she plans to power background checks and close high-risk loopholes in our country. She also wants to make gun sellers and makers accountable for guns being in the hands of terrorists, domestic abusers, and other violent criminals. As I quote she says, “I don’t know how we keep seeing shooting after shooting, read about the people murdered because they went to Bible study or they went to the movies or they were just doing their job, and not finally say we’ve got to do something about this.” This is so true we hear about shootings after shootings all over the world. People would say shootings only happen in bad neighborhoods, and ghettos. That is so not true gun violence is happening everywhere and this needs to be stopped.
This really sticks out to me because I am a student at Tennessee State University this past October there was a killing here on campus. Supposedly there was a dice game going on and next thing you know a gun gets involved and the next minute you have someone dead. First guns aren’t even allowed on college campus and now people have to be way strict on guns because people are going around with guns without a license.
While being first lady, she opposed a White House Summit on School Violence after the Columbine shooting. She also supported the Brady Bill; this bill instituted background checks on guns sold. While being senator, she voted for legislation to close the gun show clause by forcing criminal background checks on sells taking place at businesses that sell firearms. She disagrees with the high-risk immunity protections that congress provided to ensure that gun sellers and makers are not accountable for victims of gun violence. She also voted for legislation to extend and reuse the assault weapons
