Introduction Cuneiform is the first form of writing ever! However, Cuneiform didn’t just start as words, it developed and changed over time. Then sometime, it was replaced. As a matter of fact, writing changed our lives! Overall, cuneiform affected the world and inspired others to improve it and eventually replace it.
How Cuneiform Affects Us Today The invention of writing changed the way we communicate, and the world. Many things would not have happened if writing was not invented. Learning about ancient civilizations would be a lot harder, and the bible wouldn't even have been written! For example, How Writing Changed the World states, “There are many things that would never have happened if writing wouldn’t have been invented.” So if Mesopotamia had never invented cuneiform, then a lot of important historical events or learning about them would be a lot harder. For example, The Cuneiform Writing System states, “At first writing was representational...this system was inconvenient for conveying...simple nouns.” It started out as pictographs and then the mesopotamians improved it to create cuneiform. As The Cuneiform Writing System states, “Pictures...evolved...eventually taking form in the world’s earliest writing: cuneiform.” Furthermore, cuneiform started out simple, then it advanced to complex writing. Overall, cuneiform changed over
