The he met this super hot girl called Martha and married her which showed to be quite convenient for Washington as he inherited an 18,000 acre state and bunch of slaves.
By the time of the American Revolution he had made himself rich all because of his farm. He had invested a lot of money and effort to improve the efficiency of the farm and to keep up with new advances on agriculture. They say that he was so dedicated to his state that he worked 6 days a week on it even though he owned a little more than a hundred slaves.
One day he was reading the news and something peculiar catched his eyes… THE BRITISH PROCLAMATION ACT OF 1763!!!! That meant he couldn’t go hunt at his favorite spot anymore and drink booze with his friends where Martha wouldn’t catch him! Two years later came the Stamp Act and s later the Townshend Act. By that time Washington was an angry man, he had to pay more taxes and buy goods at a higher price, and let’s not forget… THE BOOZE!!! So he signed up for the Continental Congress and on June 15 1775, he began showing off his military uniform and status as the Commander in Chief of the Continental
