The Ancient Greek Myths has always fascinated everyone all around the world, there is something magical in them that pulls our interest and we always want more and more of them. But first let me tell you a little about the Greek myths. The Greek mythology has a big influence on our culture, arts and literature. At first these stories were passed in an oral way (told from person to person), but later they used representational ways to preserve it, using vases, paints, murals, drawings on plates, poems, etc. The oldest source of stories we know it's on the epic poem "The Odyssey". We have always wonder about what we don't know, like the why and how we are in this planet, why we are alive, and more. And well, every culture …show more content…
try to explain this in their own words through some creation myths. Every culture has their own myth but their are some common trend found in the myths. In every story there is a Supreme Being (usually a God), and its the one that starts the engines you might say for the creation of the universe. But not every myth share this, some others believe that life came from either above or below of we are standing, others that the Earth was covered in water and the land was raised up.
#2 Figure 7.9. Taj Mahal. Page 254. The reason i have selected this art of work is because I have been to taj mahal. It is so beautiful. The white marble which is used to build this art. It is gorgeous in dusk and dawn when the sky is orange and yellow which reflects on the marbles and makes illusion that the color of marbles are change. And I was lucky enough to watch Taj Mahal on full moon night. Taj Mahal shows the remains of Muslim rule in India in the past. It was build in the memory of Mumtaz Mahal. The wife of king Shah Jahan. It took almost twenty years and twenty thousand people to build this monument. It is last long enough is because it was build as a symbol of love between king Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal and they have been buried there in the center of the monument. And architecture wise they build underground pillars to support the weight as it was build on the bank of Yamuna river. So the heavy monsoon season wouldn’t wash away all the ground sand underneath it.
#3 There are many similarities and differences between Roman Empire and USA.
Some Similarities : Rome and America are the most powerful actors in their world, by many orders of magnitude. Their power includes both military might and the ‘soft power’ of language, culture, commerce, technology, and ideas. Both are societies made up of many people's—open to newcomers, willing to absorb the genes and lifestyles and gods of everyone else, and to grant citizenship to incoming tribes from all corners of the earth.Rome and America are comparable in physical size—the Roman Empire and its Mediterranean lake would fit inside the three million square miles of the Lower Forty-eight states, though without a lot to spare.
Some Differences :Rome was always a slaveholding polity with the profound moral and social retardation that this implies; America started out as a slaveholding polity and decisively cast slavery aside.Rome had no middle class as we understand the term, whereas for America the middle class is the class were most of the people fell in this category. For all it engineering skills, Rome generated few original ideas in science and technology; America is a hothouse of innovation and creativity. On basic matters such as gender roles and the equality of all people, Romans and Americans would behold one another with disbelief and distaste.
The future will differ as from the past we had learn what not not to do and that the reason we study the history to learn and not to repeat the mistakes that past generations did. If the current generation don’t improvise from the past then learning and knowing about the past generations and their records are useless.

General Bronze Age for all of Europe
The Bronze Age is the second part of the three-age system (Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age) for classifying and studying prehistoric societies, particularly the ancient societies of the Mediterranean and Near East.In Central Europe, the early Bronze Age Unetice culture (1800–1600 BCE) includes numerous smaller groups like the Straubing, Adlerberg and Hatvan cultures.
Some very rich burials, such as the one located at Leubingen with grave gifts crafted from gold, point to an increase of social stratification already present in the Unetice culture. All in all, cemeteries of this period are rare and of small size. The Unetice culture is followed by the middle Bronze Age (1600–1200 BCE) Tumulus culture, which is characterised by inhumation burials in tumuli
(barrows).

Rome created by legendary Troy twins Romulus and Remus, who took local Sabrine women for their wives.
According to tradition, on April 21, 753 B.C., Romulus and his twin brother, Remus, found Rome on the site where they were suckled by a she-wolf as orphaned infants. Actually, the Romulus and Remus myth originated sometime in the fourth century B.C., and the exact date of Rome’s founding was set by the Roman scholar Marcus Terentius Varro in the first century B.C.To populate his town, Romulus offered asylum to fugitives and exiles. Rome lacked women, however, so Romulus invited the neighboring Sabines to a festival and abducted their women. A war then ensued, but the Sabine women intervened to prevent the Sabine men from seizing Rome. A peace treaty was drawn up, and the communities merged under the joint rule of Romulus and the Sabine king, Titus Tatius. Tatius’ early death, perhaps perpetrated by Romulus, left the Roman as the sole king again. After a long and successful rule, Romulus died under obscure circumstances. Many Romans believed he was changed into a god and worshipped him as the deity Quirinus. After Romulus, there were six more kings of Rome, the last three believed to be Etruscans. Around 509 B.C., the Roman republic was established.

484AD - First schism (split) between east and west churches. The Byzantine split with Roman Catholicism came about when Pope Leo III crowned Charlemagne, King of the Franks, as Holy Roman Emperor in 800. From the Byzantine viewpoint, this was a slap to the Eastern Emperor and the Byzantine Empire itself — an empire that had withstood barbarian invasions and upheld the faith for centuries. After Rome fell in 476, Byzantium was the only vestige of the Holy Roman Empire Geography: The West encompassed Western Europe and the northern and western areas of the Mediterranean and the East took up Asia Minor, the Middle East, and Northern Africa.

#8 Myth Birth of Indus
Once upon a time many nomadic group were living on banks of river flowing west from the Himalayas, present time pakistan. They were farming peacefully for year and trading pottery silk and clothing to mesopotamia. Aryan people made their move to the north part area known as indus valley civilization introducing early hinduism to the nomadic group. Hinduism was based on karma. So one summer one massive sand storm from midwest ended up at the indus valley civilization. Every thing was dried up thousands of people died due to thirst and starvation. Aryan people impacted by this but were able to survive as they kept getting melting snow from the himalayas. So they start praying for water for the civilization. They started saying “ Slokas” Hinduism’s rhymes and payers. The goddess of rivers Ganges responded to the prayer.
Ganges proposed she will insteaded her daughter Indus to come from heaven to earth. But if she came directly from the heaven and touch the plains she would make direct hole to grounds and dismantle in the grounds and that wouldn't help anyone. So Aryans prayed for the God of Earth Brahma. He helped them by creating Himalayas mountain range. So Indus could land and Himalayas and make less destruction to people living in the civilization. And Indus made her way from Himalayas to plains and finally dismantling into the Arabian sea. Hence that was the birth of Indus. And the civilization was named after it, Indus civilization.Which helped Aryan people to have prosperous live after that dreadful sand storm.
