How Did Ida B Wells-Barnett Have Encouraged Black People
I think that Ida B. Wells-Barnett should have encouraged Black people to defend themselves against racist attacks by the KKK and other terrorists. KKK stands for Ku Klux Klan is a white social club which started in 1866. They started the campaign of terror against African Americans people and with anyone who dared to speak out against them. Many freedmen who were looking for a job in the city were rounded up and transported into the countryside to pick cotton. They were living in fear and pain. I think Ida B. Wells-Barnett did amazing work through her writing to educate people to know about the activities happening around them. She encouraged them to speak and stand for themselves. She encouraged them to defend themselves from anyone who tries
to hurt them. She used her pen to encourage them. She became a fundamental way of providing awareness to people. She raised her voice against lynching and even helped many people to get out prison. She was a great icon in African American community.
