Britain, France and America move from pastoral agriculture areas to built-up cities. The lives and economic activities of their people began to change on a massive level (Jessica Whittemore). With this, activities shifted from upcountry or rural areas and into the city where the industrialisation was starting to pick up pace. Even when a massive group of people moved to urban areas, the rural activities did not plunder as many thought it would, instead it created a chance for the ones who remained in the rural areas, simply because the people who shifted to urban areas for work were being supplied by the rural farmers things such as food or raw materials. While the economy of the urban areas was doing very well because of manufacturing and large factory buildings, the countryside was also thriving due to heavy farming and agricultural boost.
Industrialisation led to the development of factories. These factories employed many people thus many had easier ways of doing work and to top it off get something out of it in terms of money. Service industries are businesses that mainly work for the customer but they do not involve factory manufacturing. An example can be the M-pesa transaction; it is a service which many people use to pay for services offered to them.
