To start off, Julius Caesar had a big desire to conquer, not just for fun, but for many different, interesting reasons. To begin with, he had through many struggles, like going bankrupt and getting captured by pirates. Julius Caesar then became the highest official in the whole entire Roman republic because he knew he had been through lot of things in his lifetime. Him knowing this, it led to the outcome of one of the reasons he decided to conquer other countries. In addition, there are many things that support that the idea of why Caesar wanted to conquer and his desire to. Julius Caesar had the desire to conquer and also had many reasons for it which leads to why he so good at doing so, then expanding his empire, and had several connections with other leaders which the first detail finally led into. To start, there were many reasons to why Caesar conquered many lands, and he was very good at doing so. Caesar chose to expand his empire through trying to conquer Britain, which wasn’t the best battle from a military standpoint, but was invaluable propaganda that was very important to them at the time, helping them win countless other battles, exactly being one of the reasons he expanded. “These raids on Britain were as such not very successful from a military standpoint. But to Caesar they were invaluable propaganda” (Julius Caesar). In addition, the destiny of Rome had been changed for the better by expanding their city from the profits Julius Caesar had from his conquests, after he had returned from war. Furthermore, the unemployment issue in Rome was improved by Caesar’s choice to build public buildings, causing Rome to have a stronger and better economy, in turn, his army being stronger. Julius did not care what anyone thought of him, therefore being a very outspoken person, which helped him lead his army to many victories. In all, many of these supporting ideas snowballs into the next idea of Caesar expanding his empire.
First off, Caesar expanded his empire to vast and extreme regions of the world, conquering most of Europe. Julius Caesar conquered all of Gaul, making it a province, improving the destiny of the Roman Empire. In addition to conquering Gaul, Julius Caesar conquered all of many countries, including Germany, making all of them provinces and making them all follow Roman laws, which were usually strict. While defeating enemies, Caesar and his troops added and expansion of 640,000 square miles to Rome, helping the Romans by giving them more land to work with in the future, changing the empire for the better. Julius Caesar then conquered all of many countries, including Gaul, making them provinces and part of the Roman Empire and under the control of a dictator. “Caesar was by then inextricably involved in the affairs of Gaul. Over the next several years, in a series of brilliant campaigns, the Roman general conquered all of Gaul and made it a Roman province”(History.com staff). In summary, Julius Caesar expanded his empire greatly, therefore controlling one of the biggest empires ever in history.
Many of Caesar’s expansion and battle reasons is that he had connections with several other dictators from different nations.
Julius Caesar had impacted the country of Gaul by driving the German invaders out, making the bond stronger between Julius and Gaul. In turn, Julius Caesar had people in other counties that he knew would back him up if he got into any trouble in battle. In addition, Julius Caesar took advantage of his connections with other parts of the world to expand his empire and gain nobility on a global scale. Sadly, after Crassus’s death, Caesar to make the choice go into war with Pompey, which Caesar gained land from and used it as an advantage when they attacked other parts of the world. The death of one of Julius’ allies caused Caesar and his other ally, Pompey, to go into war. Later, Caesar won the battle, thus using Pompey’s land to add to his empire. “Caesar quickly took advantage of these connections and the shifting power position in Gaul to extend the sphere of Roman control”(Gaius Julius Caesar). To wrap it up, Julius Caesar had many connections with other people in the world, which he took advantage of to compete well in wars.
Secondly, Julius Caesar impacted many countries through his decisions to start many civil and rebellion battles between his own and other nations. Many of these decisions to start battles, caused many smaller details to become vivid when reading about Caesar. In addition many of these smaller details played a big part in his life and decisions. Many of the smaller details that will be discussed further is Caesar taking over lands and making their people follow his rules, solving many problems in his own country, and, lastly, causing many civil and rebellion battles to take
place.
To begin with, Julius Caesar took over many lands and made their citizens become Romans and follow the order of Caesar’s strict rules. Julius Caesar had many well planned attacks, causing an impact on other countries, making these smart choices through his intelligence and education. The country of Italy was impacted greatly through Julius Caesar’s decision to pass a law disallowing any Italian, between the age 20 and 40, to leave the country for more than three years, making some of them mad and dislike Caesar. Julius decide to expand into Germany, making them follow his laws, because he wanted to keep them away from trying to take over Gaul. Since Julius Caesar knew he was very knowledgeable in warfare, he decided to expand, taking over many different countries such as Gaul, Germany, and Spain.
