Julius Caesar was a well liked leader and politician. During his life he helped to transform Roman Republic into the Roman Empire. He also expanded the amount of land that was ruled by the Romans. The Republic was in a state of chaos while Caesar was growing up, which tarnished the prestige of Rome, and caused it to appear unsteady and overwhelmed with its own…
A dictionary definition of a leader is a guiding hand in a movement or group. My definition of a leader is someone who stands out amongst the rest and steps up to the task and helps the “followers” advance and strive to become a leader as well. The only way a leader can be effective is by leading by example. A prime example of this is Malala Yousafzai. She was shot in the face for trying to go to school. If she hadn’t gone to school she wouldn’t have been shot, but she also wouldn’t have a Nobel Peace prize. She is now using her story to speak for access to education for everyone. A leader is someone who leads by example and uses their skills to help others succeed.…
The story of Julius Caesar is a time period where Caesar was the noblest men of all of Rome. It's a famous time were there was a lot of tragic events. For example in act 3 scene 1 Cesar is stabbed and killed by the conspirators at the senate. The fall of their King was a tragic event. Also Brutus committing suicide who was also one of the noblest man of Rome. A tragedy is a powerful impact in a story. Which in ties in with a tragic hero who is the main protagonist {character} in the story but they will most likely will not achieve their ends they will most likely die in trying. Brutus in my opinion is a tragic hero in the story of Julius Caesar. Brutus is a character that we learn about who he really is. We learn what his motives is in the…
He defeated Gaul’s and Celtic people. He was the leader of Rome in political and war aspects. Rome was very powerful and feared vs other entities around them. He defeated tribes of people and entire states. He invaded Italy when it was under power of Pompey. Caesar drove Pompey into Macedonia were Pompey was slightly stronger. Even then Caesar over powered Pompey. He sailed bodies of water also such as the English Channel. He also sailed the ocean, and smaller seas. (“Julius Caesar”)…
Brutus, a brave hero or a traitor? BRUTUS killed his benefactor and friend, Cesar, because Cesar had usurped the sovereign power. Therefore, Brutus was a patriot, whose character is to be admired, and whose example should be imitated, as long as republican liberty shall…
Julius Caesar, Dictator of the Roman Republic, is stabbed to death by Marcus Brutus, Gaius Cassius, Decimus Brutus and several other Roman senators on the Ides of March. But was his assassination really a surprise to anyone? Caesar had a wife named Calphurnia. Calphurnia allegedly begged Caesar to stay home on that very day fearing that something terrible would happen. Sadly her worst fears came true. Later that day a group of conspirators led by Marcus Brutus and Gaius Cassius, stabbed Caesar to his death. Several witnesses have stated that Caesar was aware of the threats on this date before the assassination. An addition fact is that while Marc Antony read Caesar’s will, Caesar expressed wishes to spread the Roman…

* Why was Julius Caesar famous? Accomplishments, achievements and important events: He conquered Gaul (modern France and Belgium - 58-50 BC). The reforms of Caesar stabilized the Mediterranean world. In Shakespeare’s, Julius Caesar, Cassius states that he wishes Brutus could see himself as others see him, so then Brutus would realize how honored and respected he is. Cassius wants Caesar out of any power that he holds so he talks Brutus into killing Caesar. At first Brutus is hesitant towards the idea but after Cassius persuades him, Brutus decides to kill Caesar along with the other conspirators. The men agree that they need to get Caesar out of his home to kill him. They decide to lure him to the Senate. Caesar’s wife begs him not to go but Caesar does not listen to her. When Caesar arrives to the Senate, he talks to the conspirators as they are all bowing at his feet. Then, one by one, they stab Caesar. When Antony sees Caesar dead, he asks why they did it. Brutus replies that he will explain their purpose at his funeral. Antony asks to be allowed to speak over the body as well and Brutus grants him permission. Little does Brutus know that Antony’s speech will turn around and bit Brutus in the butt. At the funeral, Brutus and Antony give their speeches but Antony’s speech is better than Brutus’ speech only because he uses sarcasm.…
Julius Ceasar is a tragedy by William Shakespeare that is believed to have been written in 1599. It portrays the conspiracy against the Roman dictator Julius Caesar, his struggle between the demands of patriotism, honor, and friendship, and his assassination. It is one of several Roman plays that Shakespeare wrote that are based on true events from Roman history. After watching two films about Julius Ceasar, one made in 1953 and one made in 1970, I personally believe that the 1970 version best meets my own mental idea of the play.…
Frustration is what lurks in my heart. I can’t sleep. With almost 54,000 students studying their guts out for their HSC, lets face it; our chance of a decent atar is bloody dismal. So why should we follow such a demonic system, that old hags from the board of studies have set for us? Why? Well it’s all because they have power. Power over spee ch, power over relationships and the power over truth. And, yes sadly they exploited their power to implant a bizarre truth that education is crucial and socialising are for Derek’s.…
In the novel, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, conspirators, led by Gaius Cassius and Marcus Brutus, assassinate the ruler of Rome, Julius Caesar. They thought that he may have become a tyrant and would make the Roman Republic fall. The aftermath of killing Caesar led to violence and a civil war. As a result, the Republic evolves into an Empire. The whole point of assassinating Caesar is to prevent a dictatorship, but killing him is one of the main events why the Republic is never restored. The conspirators should have not plotted a coup because Julius Caesar is not a corrupt person and did things for the good of others, it leads to a civil war, and the justification for killing him is based on a lie.…
