Renaissance Writing Assignment
There have been many eras in time for music to evolve and the arts to blossom. One of these set of ages were the Middle ages. An era of dark times and new ideas. It was a time where many people suffered from death due to plague and where the poor class were treated unfairly. Even though all this the arts and music were able to live on and expand to something even greater.
During the middle ages there was a progression of art. New styles arose such as gothic art and quickly became the center of attention. Italy being in the center of all of it. Great men such as Leonardo Da Vinci and many others came to light. Their discoveries in music, art, the sciences, and everything in between sparked a light of enlightenment. Music had begun to be written down with the new inventions, music began to grow more and influence, music had begun to take its shape.
These two eras took place at two different times, but they share their similarities and differences. The Renaissance and Medieval ages were two times of a change in the arts. The medieval ages took aim at gothic art and they painted a darker image of beauty. While the Renaissance used bright colors and tried to show the beauty in things with two dimensions and new ways of seeing angles in art. The medieval times could've been barbaric while the Renaissance was classier.
Another time to mention is the time of Ancient Greece and Rome. It may not seem like it, but they were very similar to the Renaissance. Although they were different times they are like and extent. Both of their focuses on the way the approached art was quite similar. Mainly because Ancient Greece and Rome influenced this time. Many artists during this time took ideas from Ancient Greece and Rome to make their own
