Discrimination against women is a major injustice in the world today but can end by spreading diversity. Generations of strong willed women like Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton worked vigorously to improve equality in women's rights. Their efforts led to women having the right to vote, access to birth control, and enlist in the army. Society has come a long way in closing the gap, however there is still room for improvement.
Throughout history there has always been a struggle for gender equality. Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton are two very famous women who led the way in the fight against discrimination. These two ladies created the National American Woman Suffrage Association and the American Equal Rights Association. In order to create these associations, they went around “giving speeches around the country to convince others to support a woman's right” (“Susan B Anthony”). Within these speeches, they would talk about all of the work women did, and how they still had little rights. Together, they were spreading the diversity of human life. They were showing the differences between men and women, yet how they are both equally important.

According to United Nations Human Rights, “women work two-thirds of the world’s working hours and produce half of the world’s food, yet they earn only 10% of the world’s income” (“Combating Discrimination Against Women”). Equal pay for men and women has been a lingering effort. The cause is stereotypes (“Social Injustice: Discrimination”). Most people follow the stereotype of men are smarter than women.
