The Geographic regions primarily referred to throughout the Decolonization Era are Africa and Asia as they saw the most new found freedom during that time. The Cold War on the other hand was a whole different battle, but not one of pure violence, as the United States and the USSR were in an all out arms race, political, and economic stand off resulting in a wave of fear being imbedded into the minds of citizens from both nations. Many actions taken during the Cold War had a greater affect that just the USA and USSR as they were two of the dominant super powers at that point in time, so even if the intent of their struggles was not world spread, the affects certainly were felt
