The increase in British supremacy in the Americas was the greatest impact of the French and Indian War because the it led to conflict with Indians and colonists. The British gained power by gaining territory. The impact of the war was tragic on the Indians and it became impossible for the Indians to preserve their autonomy by playing the empires against each other (Anderson 78).
