How Did The Industrial Revolution Affect British Society

The Industrial Revolution started around the 19th century in England. The Industrial Revolution was the rise of new technology, mass production, and a massive population increase. Great Britain had an advantage with their resources, they had water power, coal, iron and etc. Their population also grew due to urbanization, many farmers moved to the city closer to the factories where they worked. The living conditions were a struggle for the poor because how expensive it was to live in the city. The Industrial Revolution was most negatively affected the British society in the 19th century because of children working long hours, workers getting injured from the machines and children were not able to receive an education.
