The Magna Carta contributed to the rise of Democracy. It contributed by limiting the king’s power. The Magna Carta gave power to nobles. And the article believed in written laws. Therefore the Magna Carta brought society a step closer to democracy.
It Is very important to limit the king's power. If all the power is concentrated there would be dictation. It is important that power is divided within the people for equality. Everyone should have the ability to communicate their opinions. Dictation usually ends up in slavery since the dictator wants to rule everything.
Another way for everyone to be balanced is for all men and all women to be equal. For example, The Magna Carta gave power to nobles. This concept of
equality can be seen today with new laws accepting gay marriage. Before, when a landowner died the king would take the land instead of the children inheriting it which was not fair for the nobles. The Magna Carta limited the king's ability to tax nobles. Today, in california there is an eight percent to nine percent tax rate.
In addition The Magna Carta believed in written laws. This is critical so future governments don’t twist the laws instead they can stay real and firm. For example the bill of rights was written in 1789 and gives people rights, that way the magna carta is connected to the bill of rights. In my opinion this just helps the government to be a government, when I hear the word government what I think about is laws, order, power, and organization. Therefore Written laws keep laws in order, firm and even enforce the Stereotypes of a government.
In conclusion The Magna Carta helped democracy rise. The magna carta distributed power and it limited it from the king. It gave power to nobles and equalized society. Also it believed in a strong firm government in the form of written laws.
