How Did The Treaty Of Versailles Cause Ww2

When World War I finished, the European countries of the allied forces tried to only punish Germany. Their determination to hurt Germany succeeded and this success was called the treaty of Versailles. The treaty of Versailles lowered it’s army to a very small numbere, decreased the size of the German Empire and forced the Empire to pay a huge unreasonable amount of money in reparations for damages from the war. Basically the treaty of Versailles was meant to completely destroy Germany and left it high in brokenness. It caused them to pursue revenge that would come in World War II. The second way that we can see that World War II is really the contiuation of World War I is that Germany wanted to redeem themselves and their countries honor.
