Edison finally released the light bulb on Oct. 14, 1878 after he got the patent (Brigson). Later in Edison's life he also made the electric utility system, for the use of typewriters, light bulbs, phonograph, motion picture, and street lights. Moreover, Edison kept on working hard on the light bulb and improved it about a dozen times (Tyler).
