Vincent Van Gogh was one of the greatest artists who involved himself in artwork with full dedication. Born in 1853 in Holland, he rose despite the odds he faced in his life which brought transformations and made him create improvising unique styles. Since his formative years and later in his middle years, Van Gogh maintained immense interest in artwork and did not fail to help others and engage in different forms of art available at the time. Later in his life, Van Gogh’s mental health deteriorated making him unstable and even attempting to take his own life. In his early years, he can be started as a self-taught painter what greatly influenced his success in the artwork industry. Many scholars have stated that in order to be a professional and influential painter, one would need to be a master of drawing. Having been convinced of his desired approach, Van Gogh initiated the use of color in his paintings. In addition to that, he became quite observant in terms of form and movement of the painting industry what made him grow artistically (Vieira et al. 110).
Another style and technique which Van Gogh engaged in is lithography. From 1882, Van Gogh painted around ten works with nine of them being lithography while one being etching. Further to that, the painting of Potato Eaters was formerly intended for the marketplace, but later, Van Gogh created a lithograph of the same painting so that it may reach a larger audience (Li et al. 1177). In the same manner, Van Gogh was able to bring transformations in his styles as influenced by various other ones such as impressionism.
