This helped grow the American army and gave the U.S. more power. Wilson knew that not just with the draft, would we win the war, we needed to mobilize America in its entirety. He did this by encouraging women to take on the roles that men left while going to war, encouraging people of color and immigrants to join the army, and discouraging people from betraying the U.S. Now all of these factors helped the U.S. and the Entente to succeed in the war, but propaganda greatly influenced this. The U.S. created so much propaganda to give Americans the courage to fight or help in any way they could, but also scare their enemies. After joining the war, many important things occurred. The Espionage Act was passed, the Bolshevik Revolution happened, where Vladimir Lenin took over Russia, the Russian Civil War, and finally the end of the war. The U.S. joining the war effort finally gave the Entente the last push that they needed to defeat the Triple Alliance (Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy). This plan was a “proposed plan for the peace agreement after the Great War, which included the creation of a “league” of nations intended to keep the peace” (Shi G-8). Wilson first proposed the plan to Congress as the only plan able to bring peace, he also presented it to France and Britain who both accepted the plan but wanted changes added to benefit them. As Wilson kept presenting his plan and using politics to hopefully pass his plan, he began to lose support from his party and voters. He kept presenting this plan to Congress and the countries around him, but kept on not succeeding. After Wilson passed away, Henry Cabot Lodge tried to pass this plan as well, but he also was not successful. The U.S. failed to pass his plan but also the Treaty of Versailles, in return this caused a new problem in the future. But let's keep focusing on the Era after the war.
