O) Everything can be defined with its opponent, therefore captivity comes to my mind when I think of freedom. Being behind walls is not the only thing that captivity reminds me of. Actually everything that limits us in our daily lives, everything that restricts our lives can be considered as something that captures us. Therefore a world without those can be considered as a free world, though it cannot be fully possible.
B) Then how would you define freedom?
O) That’s how I would define it. I defined it just a moment ago.
B) Do you think that the people a person grew up with affect the sense of freedom that s/he has? Like their family?
O) Of course. If they have good interaction from family members, it affects the person in a good way. For example I had an uncle, I was impressed by him. He was a literature teacher, that's why I became one. He read a lot, and I learned lots of things …show more content…
We should react against the ones which limit our personal freedom and private life.
B) Do you think that the people should be able to express their thought even though it is biased? For example if I don’t like something about you, should I be able to say it because I have a freedom even though you are my teacher?
O) We should be able to express our thoughts unconditionally and we should listen other one’s thoughts.
B) But for example the president of the republic is not allowed to talk about politics and some occupational groups and media have to be unbiased. What do you think about that?
O) Let me give an example about teachers. We also have different ideas about different topics but we are not allowed to express our thoughts in a way which will affect others thoughts. If we are respectful to other thoughts while expressing ours, then there is no problem. We should be insisting on our thoughts.
