Wind is caused due to air moving from a high pressure system to a low pressure…
The rocket I produced was a normal looking rocket compared to the group of rockets I was working with. It was medium size in length and thickness. The head of the rocket was a little wide and lose, and the flaps were not arrow dynamic what so ever. To improve the flight I could have made my rocket shorter and thinner because the smaller the mass the greater acceleration. Doing this would improve the acceleration of the projectile in this case the rocket. Also to improve the acceleration I could add more alka-seltzer to the film case. Doing this would add a greater force to push off of which would make the rocket go higher and faster. Lastly I could have made the structure for the rocket more aerodynamic. To do this I would make the flaps triangles that do not stick out. Doing that will let…
The need to slow an aircraft below VA is brought about by the following weather phenomenon:…
For best flight results, launch the plane in an upward path from a high area such as a balcony where there is little to no wind.…
-absorbed sunlight at ground changes to sensible heat (warms the air) -> temperature increases. and latent heat (evaporates water from lakes, etc) -> humidity increases. 2 heat sources forms fuel storms.…
And the third law of motion is, for every action there is always an opposite and equal reaction. So then when you have your rocket on the launch pad and all ready then its determining on the motion of the rocket being equal to and opposite from the nozzle. Like if the rocket goes one way and the water goes the other way. You want it to be centered and balanced. Figuring on how many times you have tested it will and can improve on your final launches. And then you will have a bigger idea on how the water being forced down is going to equal the force when the bottle goes…
There are several aspects involved in the dynamics of airplane and how they become airborne. This report will address the main physics involved and mathematic formulae that prove how airplanes get above the ground from a small fighter jet to a massive Boeing 747. The necessities involved in keeping there massive weights in the air and the extreme forces needed to land these airplanes and bring them to a halt will also be explored.…
In No Promises in the Wind, Josh runs away from home because of his dad. He goes through many obstacles. He fails sometimes and succeeds sometimes but at the end of his journey he realizes he is just like his dad. He then decides to go back to Chicago and meet up with his family again.…
Originating in the Bible, there is a belief that children are born bearing the weight of their parents sins. This idea is encompassed in the novel The Shadow of the Wind by Ruiz Zafon about a young boy named Daniel, who encounters a book that changes his life. Enlisting the help of multiple people, Daniel is able to uncover many of mysteries surrounding the book, The Shadow of the Wind, and its arcane author, Julian Carax. On Daniel’s quest to uncover more about Julian Carax, he finds that both Julian Carax and the antagonist, Javier Fumero had a painful past with sinful parents that mold the two boys into becoming self destructive men. Through the adulterous and abusive sins of Julian’s real father, Don Ricardo Aldaya and through Fumero’s mother Yvonne’s mental instability, the boys, Julian and Fumero, grow up to be men with serious mental issues eventually leading to their demise. Thus, the consequences of their parents sins lead them to become people that do not want to be.…
One of the requirements for this course is an Aircraft Performance Research Project that entails planning a flight from Denver International Airport (KDEN) to Chicago O'Hare International Airport (KORD) for a given aircraft, weather conditions, and assumptions. The objective is to apply what has been learned throughout this course. Drawing on aeronautics theory and using the performance charts and equations presented in the course, each student is to answer a sequence of questions that step through the planning process. Remember, as with all of the exercises, all work (calculations) must be shown as much as possible. After all of the questions have been answered, the next task is to create a two-dimensional representation of the flight path showing the airspeeds, distance, fuel burned, and fuel remaining for the Takeoff, Climb, Cruise, Descent, and Approach phases of the flight.…

On a volleyball court, there are six key positions that are necessary in order to carry out a correct play and gain a point against the opposing team. The wide belief that the setter is the most important position due to all of their responsibilities is in fact true.…
The very first person who invented the first rocket was Robert Hutchings Goddard. He invented the first liquid-fuel rocket in March 16, 1926. Multiple cultures used rockets before such as a man named Archytas from Greek amazed people by flying a bird made from wood. Then 300 years later, another Greek Hero of Alexandria invented a similar rocket device. The earliest rockets were used in 1232. At that time, the Chinese and Mongols were at war with each other. The Chinese attacked the Mongols by the arrows of flying fire; that was a simple form of a rocket. Rockets have changed over time because the very first rocket was made by China and all it was, was bamboo tubes were imperfectly sealed tightly instead of exploding with explosion all it did…
I would think the turbulence level for Dr. Connelly and Mrs. Wong to be severe. They know come the following day there would be talk about how the school district had turned away students from entering or staying in the building due to a lack of immunizations. Though the elementary only had 11 of the 30 students that originally were missing immunizations, the fact that students wouldn’t be able to stay in school may cause a crisis with the school and students families. I would believe to positionality that Dr. Connelly would feel more turbulence since they are the school principle in comparison to the school nurse. Dr. Connelly feel responsible due to students still missing their immunizations, but also feel the parents of the 11 students…
I remember the day that I started rocketsledding I was 18 years old my dad brought me to a hill near our house. The hill was small, but I was scared. At first I went down the hill on a normal sled a couple of times, so my dad could teach me on a normal sled how to control a rocket sled. Then, my dad, former rocketsledding champion let me try his rocketsled. At first I was scared, then my dad showed me a few instructions on how to stop, and steer. The hill was about 10 meters long with 50 meters of run off space. After my first attempted I loved rocketsledding, so from that day forward my dad signed me up for lessons. By the time I was 25, I won 2 world championships.…
