The movie Inherit the Wind gave an ample, in depth view as to what the Scopes Trial was all about. The film uses information about the trial and the law it was about, but most times misconstrues that information. The film does give a great perspective as to what the actual trial was all about, but it is not very factual. The movie portrays some in a positive way and others in a negative way, but overall the movie Inherit the Wind get its point across about the Scopes Trial while being extremely inaccurate.…
Due to the unpleasant past between White Australians, indigenous Australians and Japanese people, there have long been tensions between these racial groups. These were intensified by the fear and threat of invasion during World War II. In the novel, The Divine Wind, Garry Disher presents readers with a confronting account of prejudice and fear during this time. This is evident through Disher’s representation of the harsh treatment of aborigines and Japanese; furthermore, it is illustrated that everyone is capable of possessing prejudicial views through Disher’s variation of characters.…
Originating in the Bible, there is a belief that children are born bearing the weight of their parents sins. This idea is encompassed in the novel The Shadow of the Wind by Ruiz Zafon about a young boy named Daniel, who encounters a book that changes his life. Enlisting the help of multiple people, Daniel is able to uncover many of mysteries surrounding the book, The Shadow of the Wind, and its arcane author, Julian Carax. On Daniel’s quest to uncover more about Julian Carax, he finds that both Julian Carax and the antagonist, Javier Fumero had a painful past with sinful parents that mold the two boys into becoming self destructive men. Through the adulterous and abusive sins of Julian’s real father, Don Ricardo Aldaya and through Fumero’s mother Yvonne’s mental instability, the boys, Julian and Fumero, grow up to be men with serious mental issues eventually leading to their demise. Thus, the consequences of their parents sins lead them to become people that do not want to be.…

My life can be closely related to the life of Wes Moore’s. Even though I did not lose my father at a young age, the admiration for my father is just as big as Wes’s. When I was a toddler, I wanted to be just like my father. I tried to do almost everything that he did. I even appreciated some of the things that he liked and did, so I could be just like him. While growing, I hit a stage where I started to think that being like my father was not such a good thing. I began thinking that I didn’t want to be like him at all, because he was a big disciplinarian. I thought that once I reached adulthood, I would be too hard on my children if I followed in his footsteps. As I continue to mature, I’ve noticed that he does this to bring out the best in me, and without him I would not be the person I am today.…

Let's start with four facts about him! So, my dad is goofy, in fact so goofy that he pretends that he is 29 again when he is really actually 45, almost 46! Now, my family is really goofy and all so that's why he calls us the Firkus Circus! We are so goofy that we are like a pack of baby wolf pups the never stop playing! When we get the chance to spend time as a family we always take it. In my opinion, Dan is one of the funniest, coolest, and most goofy dads you will ever meet! Now, let’s move on to what he does in his spare time. This is probably one of the things he does the most, he plays Asphalt 8 on his phone! He is like a geeky nerd who is addicted to the games on phones! Daniel also like spending time with family, riding his motorcycle, and my dad sorts out his tools and stuff in his garage! We spent a lot of time together when i was little because Dan had cancer and my mom was working, so that is really important to me. I love him because he helps me through fun and rough times. He also helps me with my homework even if he isn’t good at it. My dad likes Chevrolet, and motorcycles that look awesome! He also likes elephants, and classic muscle cars! What he doesn’t like is Ford’s, rude people, and drama! He also doesn’t like dirty litter boxes! Who does? I would describe him as awesome, generous, funny, and especially goofy. Now you’ve meet my…
My uncle had witnessed many different events in his life that he would change if the opportunity arose. That’s why Matt would always give me advice so I wouldn’t have to go through what he had already lived through. I had more of a father-son relationship with him more than my biological father. He was a loyal family member just like a soldier that would die for his country. He was as healthy as soldier, Matt was actually the one that influenced me to get a membership at a gym and actually utilize it weekly. He was able to change my well-being but also changed my attitude.…
My father told me about "doppelganger" when we took a walk along the Danube one afternoon. He told me with serious attitude, but in fact,I have known this for a long time.I often see two fathers nearby.Their clothes are always different. It's easy to distinguish them.Several times later,I never get confused.…
